Yakushima is a round island located in the southwest, 130 km from Kagoshima. It is most famous for the large cedar trees and the mountains but the culture and history of the island is just as unique as its natural beauty. There are twenty-four villages around the island. This is only the beginning but my goal is to provide information about the villages around the island.
